How Procurement Reports Work

Canned reports, a scoped custom report builder, and scheduled email delivery for Procurement data.

What Procurement Reports gives you

Every module in Plenix has its own dedicated Reports page, and Procurement is no exception. Go to Procurement β†’ Reports to find:

  1. Canned reports β€” pre-built, one-click reports covering the most common Procurement questions
  2. Custom Reports β€” a report builder scoped to only Procurement data, so you never have to wade through entities from other modules to find what you need
  3. Export & scheduling on every report β€” Excel, PDF, or a recurring email to one or more recipients

Canned reports

  • Approval Bottlenecks β€” Purchase request counts and amounts by department and status.
  • Purchase Request Cycle β€” Approval activity over time.
  • Supplier Quote Comparison β€” Quote counts and value by supplier and status.

Each canned report card lets you pick a date range, click Run to preview on screen, or Export to download it as Excel. Click Schedule to have it emailed automatically on a recurring basis (daily, weekly, or monthly) to any number of recipients.

Custom Reports

The Custom Reports tab is the same report builder used across the platform, but scoped so the data source list only shows Procurement entities: Purchase Requests, Supplier Quotes. Pick a data source, choose grouping and metrics, add filters, and save it as your own named report. Saved custom reports get the same Export and Schedule options as the canned reports.

Scheduling to multiple people

Click Schedule on any report (canned or custom) to set up recurring delivery:

  • Choose the frequency β€” daily, weekly, or monthly
  • Add any number of recipient email addresses
  • Pick the file format (Excel or CSV)

The report runs automatically on schedule and lands in every recipient's inbox β€” no one needs to log in to Plenix to get the numbers.

Where this fits platform-wide

The main Reports hub (in the top-level navigation) has a Directory tab linking to every module's own Reports page like this one, plus a tenant-wide Scheduled Reports tab listing every recurring report delivery across the whole business in one place.
