Accounting Reports
Run P&L, balance sheet and trial balance live from your journals.
Where these reports come from
Every report here β profit and loss, balance sheet, trial balance and the rest β is generated live from your posted journal entries for the selected period. There is no separate build step, so what you see always reflects current data.
Running a report
- Go to Accounting β Reports.
- Set the period at the top of the page.
- Pick the report you want from the tabs.
- Change the period and re-run to compare one month, quarter or year against another.
- Use Export to take the figures out as CSV for your accountant.
The AI summary
The AI tab turns the same numbers into a plain-English summary β what moved, by how much, and what stands out. It reads the report you have on screen, so set your period first.
If a figure looks wrong
Reports only ever show posted journal entries. A missing figure is almost always an entry still sitting in draft, or a bill that has not been approved yet.
Tip: Run the trial balance first when something looks off. It is the quickest way to see which account the discrepancy sits in.
