Accounting Reports

Run P&L, balance sheet and trial balance live from your journals.

Where these reports come from

Every report here β€” profit and loss, balance sheet, trial balance and the rest β€” is generated live from your posted journal entries for the selected period. There is no separate build step, so what you see always reflects current data.

Running a report

  1. Go to Accounting β†’ Reports.
  2. Set the period at the top of the page.
  3. Pick the report you want from the tabs.
  4. Change the period and re-run to compare one month, quarter or year against another.
  5. Use Export to take the figures out as CSV for your accountant.

The AI summary

The AI tab turns the same numbers into a plain-English summary β€” what moved, by how much, and what stands out. It reads the report you have on screen, so set your period first.

If a figure looks wrong

Reports only ever show posted journal entries. A missing figure is almost always an entry still sitting in draft, or a bill that has not been approved yet.

Tip: Run the trial balance first when something looks off. It is the quickest way to see which account the discrepancy sits in.
