Knowledge Graph and Impact Analysis

See how any record connects to everything else, check what would be affected before you change it, and look back at how a record looked on a past date.

What the graph is

Plenix links your records together automatically: a company to its contacts, sites, devices, tickets, contracts, invoices, projects and work orders, and a device to what sits behind it on the network. The Knowledge Graph lets you explore those links and ask "what depends on this?" before you touch it.

Plan: Enterprise.

Exploring the graph

  1. Go to Insights & Reports β†’ Knowledge Graph.
  2. Search for a company, contact, device, ticket, contract or other record.
  3. The record appears in the centre with its links around it. Click a record to see its details; double-click, or use Explore from here, to make it the centre.
  4. Use Depth to see links of links, and Kinds of relationship to show only the links you care about.

For very busy records only the first 200 links are drawn. Reduce the depth to see them all.

The details panel

Selecting a record opens three tabs:

  • Impact β€” everything linked to it, open tickets, active contracts, the monthly recurring revenue at risk, and (for devices) what sits behind it on the network map.
  • Context β€” the related records the AI assistant uses when it summarises or drafts a reply about this record.
  • History β€” earlier versions of the record. Choose a date under Show as of to see what it looked like then.

Open record takes you to the record itself.

Impact checks elsewhere

  • On a device page, the impact summary shows what depends on the device before you decommission it.
  • Disposing of an asset from a company's Assets tab warns you if other records depend on it.

How it stays up to date

Links are refreshed every hour, and links that no longer exist are removed. Administrators can click Rebuild now to refresh immediately. What the graph links lists every kind of relationship it builds.

Who sees what

The graph never shows a record you couldn't open anyway. Each record is filtered by your role's module access and your plan β€” a user without accounting access won't see invoices in the graph.
