Plenix Mobile App (Beta)

What the native Android app does today: signing in to your workspace and approving two-factor push requests, including with biometrics.

What it is

Plenix Mobile is a native Android app, separate from the installable web app (PWA) covered in Install the Plenix App. It currently does two things:

  1. Signs you in to your workspace using the same login and two-factor method (code, push or both) your organisation already uses.
  2. Receives and approves two-factor push requests when you sign in from a browser elsewhere, with an optional fingerprint or face check.

Using an iPhone? See Plenix Cloud for iPhone.

It is not a full native replacement for the Plenix web app β€” for day-to-day work (tickets, work orders, dashboards) the installable PWA is the mobile experience to use today.

Beta status β€” ask before rolling out

Plenix Mobile is in beta. Each workspace needs to be individually enabled by the Plenix team before sign-in will work on the app β€” it is not yet available to turn on yourself. If you'd like it enabled for your organisation, contact your account manager or Plenix support.

Approving a sign-in

Once installed and signed in, approving a push request works like this:

  1. A notification arrives titled "Plenix sign-in request."
  2. Opening it shows the workspace name and a field for the two-digit number shown on your browser's sign-in screen.
  3. Enter the number and tap Approve, or decline the request if you don't recognise the attempt.
  4. You can tick Use biometrics for future approvals β€” after that, the app also asks for your fingerprint or face after you enter the number. The number is still required on every request. Version 0.3.12 or later is needed for this; older versions with biometrics turned on will ask you to update.
