Import and Export Credentials
Bring credentials in from another password manager with a CSV file, or export the vault.
Import and export are for administrators.
Import from a CSV file
- Export your credentials from your current password manager as a CSV file.
- In the vault, click More β Import CSV.
- Choose the file, drop it onto the box, or paste the rows in.
- Optionally pick a Default client. Rows that do not match a client go there. Leave it empty and they are saved as internal.
- Import.
Only a name column is required. Common column headings from other tools, such as title, login_username, login_uri, website and folder, are matched for you. A company column is matched to your clients by name.
When the import finishes, the vault lists any client names it could not match and where those rows went.
Limits: 1,000 rows and 5 MB per file. Split a larger file and import it in parts.
Delete the CSV file from your computer when you are done. It holds your passwords in plain text.
Export to CSV
Click More β Export CSV and confirm. This downloads the whole vault.
The export is recorded on every credential it includes, with who ran it.
An exported file holds passwords in plain text. Store it somewhere safe and delete it when you no longer need it.
