Password History

See earlier passwords for a credential and put one back.

Each time a credential's password changes, the vault keeps the old one.

See earlier passwords

  1. Open the credential.
  2. Go to the History tab.

Each entry shows when it was replaced and by whom. Click to reveal it. Revealing an old password is recorded like revealing the current one.

Put one back

Click Restore on an entry. The current password moves into history and the old one becomes current.

Use this when a change did not take on the service, or someone saved the wrong password.

How much is kept

The last 20 passwords for each credential. Older ones are removed as new ones are added.

Who can see it

You need Reveal access to see earlier passwords and Manage access to restore one.
