Personalising Your Menu
Pin the pages you use every day to the top of your sidebar and drag them into the order that suits your job.
Why bother
Plenix has a lot of menu items because it does a lot of things. You use a handful of them. Rather than scrolling past forty entries to reach the two you need, pull those two to the top.
This is per-person. Changing your menu does not change anybody else's.
Pinning a page
Hover over any item in the sidebar and a star appears. Click it.
Starred pages collect in a Favourites section at the very top of the menu, above everything else. Click the star again to remove it.
There is no limit, but the point is to keep it short. If everything is a favourite, nothing is.
Reordering your favourites
Drag a favourite up or down to reorder it. Put the page you open first thing in the morning at the top.
The order saves automatically to your account, so it follows you to any computer you log in from.
What to pin
A rough guide, if you are not sure:
| If you mostly... | Pin |
|---|---|
| Answer support requests | Tickets, your inbox |
| Sell | Deals, pipeline, companies |
| Go out to site | Today's jobs, work orders |
| Do the books | Invoices, bills, bank transactions |
| Manage people | Employees, leave, timesheets |
Pin three or four to begin with. Add more when you notice yourself hunting for the same page repeatedly.
