Recurring Tickets

Schedule tickets to be raised automatically on a repeating cadence.

What recurring tickets do

Schedule tickets to be created automatically on a repeating cadence β€” ideal for routine maintenance, compliance checks and regular reviews. Set the template and the schedule once, and the system raises a fresh ticket each time it falls due, so nothing recurring is forgotten.

Creating a schedule

  1. Go to Ticketing β†’ Recurring Tickets and click New Recurring Ticket.
  2. Write the ticket template: the subject, description, priority and assignee that each generated ticket should carry.
  3. Link it to the client company it is for.
  4. Set the schedule β€” the cadence on which tickets should be raised.
  5. Activate and save.

What gets created

Each time the schedule fires, a normal ticket is raised from the template. It behaves like any other ticket from that point: it can be reassigned, edited and closed without affecting the schedule.

Pausing

Deactivate the recurring ticket rather than deleting it if you want to stop it temporarily. Reactivating keeps the template you already wrote.

Writing a good template

The generated ticket is all the assignee will see. Put the actual checklist in the description β€” a subject of "Monthly maintenance" with an empty body gets closed without the work being done.

Tip: Check the first generated ticket after setting up a schedule. A wrong cadence is much cheaper to fix after one ticket than after twenty.
