What announcements are for
Broadcast a message to everyone in your workspace — planned maintenance, policy changes, company news. Announcements appear in-app, so the whole team sees what matters without another email thread that half of them will miss.
Posting one
- Go to Platform → Announcements and click Post Announcement.
- Write a title that stands alone. Most people will read only that.
- Write the body.
- Set the period it should be visible for.
- Publish.
Where it appears
Published announcements appear in-app to every user in the workspace for as long as they are active.
Keeping them useful
Expire announcements when they stop being true. A stale banner about maintenance that finished last week trains people to ignore the next one — which will be the one that mattered.
Tip: Use announcements for things everyone needs; use Platform → Notifications for things that concern one person. Broadcasting individual matters is how a channel loses its audience.
