Email Templates

Reusable templates for the emails Plenix sends.

What templates cover

Reusable templates for the emails Plenix sends β€” quotes, reminders, notifications and campaigns. Edit the wording and branding once and every send stays consistent.

Editing a template

  1. Go to Platform β†’ Email Templates.
  2. Open the template for the email you want to change.
  3. Edit the subject and body.
  4. Use the available merge fields to pull in record data such as the customer name, invoice number or amount.
  5. Save.

Merge fields

Merge fields are replaced with real values at send time. Use the fields listed for that template β€” a field that does not apply to the template's record type will not resolve and will send as-is, which looks exactly as bad as it sounds.

Testing before you rely on it

Trigger the email against a real record and read what arrives. Merge fields, spacing and branding are much easier to judge in a delivered email than in the editor.

Scope

Changing a template affects every future send of that email. Emails already sent are unchanged.

Tip: Write the subject line first and make it specific. Invoice INV-1042 is now overdue gets opened; Notification from your provider does not.
