Capacity Planning
Week-by-week load on each work centre against its capacity.
Production β Capacity shows how much open work is booked against each work centre, week by week.
How it is worked out
- Load is the planned minutes still to do on the operations of open production orders. It is placed in the week the order is scheduled to start. Overdue and unscheduled work counts in this week.
- Capacity is the work centre's hours per day over a five-day week. Set it on the work centre.
Cells are green when there is room, amber above 80% and red when overloaded. Choose 4, 8, 12 or 26 weeks.
Acting on it
Click any cell to see the open orders using that work centre. Move due dates, put orders on hold, or add capacity by changing the work centre's hours per day.
Load only appears for operations that have a work centre. Give each routing step in your bills of materials a work centre.
