Patch Management
Keep Windows and every application up to date across all your devices β in bulk, on a schedule or automatically.
RMM β Patch management covers Windows updates and third-party applications on every managed device.
The figures at the top
Windows compliance, devices missing critical updates, missing updates, restarts pending, application updates available, vulnerable applications, failed installs in the last 30 days and installs running now. Select any figure to open the matching list.
Overview
Missing Windows updates by severity, the updates missing from the most devices, scan health (never scanned, scan older than 7 days, scan errors), missing updates by classification, the last 30 days of installs and what is happening now. Every line opens the matching list.
Devices β updating many devices at once
One row per device: its Windows update state, how many updates are missing and how many are critical, failed installs, restart pending, application updates and vulnerable applications, when it last scanned, and the last thing done to it, with a progress bar while it runs.
Filter by state (missing critical, at risk, up to date, restart pending, application updates available, vulnerable, not scanned, scan older than 7 days, scan errors, failed installs, offline), operating system and customer, or search by name.
Tick any number of devices β or the box in the header for every device shown β and choose:
- Install all missing Windows updates, now or at a time you choose, with your restart behaviour
- Critical only or Security only Windows updates
- Update all apps
- Scan now for Windows and application updates
- Restart (signed-in users get a 5-minute warning)
- Build a job⦠to make a saved, repeatable job for those devices
Progress for what you started appears at the top of the tab, device by device, and under Live activity.
Windows updates
Every update known to your devices with its KB number, severity, classification and the number of devices that need it. Approve, decline or install updates on chosen devices.
Applications and Vulnerabilities
Applications with a newer version available, and installed applications with known vulnerabilities (CVEs), worst first. Update an application everywhere it is out of date, or on chosen devices.
Rollouts
Deploy updates in waves: a test group first, then everyone else after the time you choose.
Policies
Windows update and application update policies approve and install automatically in a maintenance window, with your restart rules.
Live activity and History
Installs and scans in progress with a progress bar per device, and everything that has finished. Both link to Jobs for the full output.
