Sales Orders and Fulfilment

Take orders from deals or quotes, check credit, pick, pack, ship and invoice.

ERP β†’ Sales Orders handles what a customer has ordered, from confirmation to invoice.

Creating an order

Create an order directly, or from a won deal or an accepted quote β€” the lines and prices come across. Lines can be stock items, services or one-off items. Each stock line is supplied from stock, as a drop-shipment (straight from your supplier to the customer) or as a special order.

Approving

Approving runs a credit check. If the customer is on credit hold, or the order would take them over their credit limit (counting unpaid invoices and other orders not yet billed), the order goes on hold with the reason. An admin can release the hold. Approved orders reserve stock; anything that cannot be reserved is a backorder, and backorders are re-checked every hour as stock comes in.

Billing rule

  • On fulfilment β€” invoice what has shipped, each time it ships.
  • On order β€” invoice the whole order when it is approved.
  • Manual β€” you choose when to invoice.

Fulfilment

Create a fulfilment for some or all of the lines, then pick β†’ pack β†’ ship β†’ deliver. Stock leaves when it ships. You can ship in several parts. A fulfilment can be cancelled while it is picked or packed.

Buying for an order

Create purchase orders raises the purchase orders for an order's drop-ship and special-order lines in one click, one per supplier.
