How to Set Up a Managed Service and Assign it to a Client

Step 1 — Create the service

1. Go to ERP → Services
2. Click + New Service
3. Fill in:
   • Name (e.g. "Enterprise Managed IT")
   • Description — what is included
   • Category (Managed IT, Cloud, Print, etc.)
   • Price and Billing frequency (Monthly / Quarterly / Annual)
   • SLA Tier — optional, links to your SLA policy
4. Click Save

The service now exists in your catalogue and can be assigned to any number of clients.

Step 2 — Assign to a client

1. Open the client's Company profile (CRM → Companies → [company])
2. Navigate to the Services tab
3. Click Add Service
4. Choose the service from your catalogue
5. Set the Start date
6. Optionally override the price for this client
7. Click Assign

Plenix creates a contract record automatically and links it to this company.

Step 3 — Review the contract

1. Go to ERP → Contracts — you will see the new contract with status Active
2. Click it to review start/end dates, linked service, and notes
3. Adjust the end date or renewal terms if needed

You can also reach the contract from the company's Services tab — click the contract link next to the service.

Step 4 — Verify billing

1. Open the company profile → Billing tab
2. The service appears as a recurring line item
3. The next invoice date is shown — this is when the first invoice will auto-generate

Step 5 — Check MRR

1. Go to Billing → MRR Dashboard
2. New MRR column should reflect the added service value
3. Drill in by client or service tier

Removing a service

To cancel a service:

1. Company → Services tab → click the service
2. Click Cancel / End Service
3. Set an end date
4. The contract status changes to Cancelled from that date
5. MRR decreases from the end date (shown as Churned MRR)
