Events
Run webinars, conferences, workshops and customer events: event pages, tickets, waitlists, reminders, check-in, badges and results.
Events lets you run in-person, online and hybrid events from Plenix β from the event page people register on to checking them in at the door. Open it from CRM β Events in the sidebar. Events comes with CRM on every plan. Plans and prices are unchanged.
The Events hub
The tiles at the top show upcoming, published and draft events, people registered for upcoming events, the waitlist, registrations this month and the check-in rate of past events. Click any tile to see the events or people behind it.
- Events β every event, with search and filters (upcoming, published, drafts, past, archived).
- Latest registrations β the newest sign-ups across all your events.
- Templates β start from a webinar, conference, workshop, open day, training course or customer meetup. Each comes with an agenda, tickets and questions you can change.
Creating an event (Details tab)
Give the event a title, a start and end time and a time zone, and choose In person, Online or Hybrid. Add the venue, or the online join link (it is only sent to registered people). Add a summary, a description, a cover image and an accent colour for the event page.
Settings on the same tab:
- Places β the most people who can attend. Leave it empty for no limit.
- Waitlist β when the event is full, people can join a waitlist. They move up automatically, in order, when someone cancels or you free a place.
- Approval β review every registration by hand before it is confirmed.
- Reminders β how many hours before the start reminders go out (by default 24 and 1).
- Self-cancel β let attendees give up their place from their ticket link.
- Show attendee count on the event page, and whether to add new registrants to the CRM as contacts.
- Phone and company fields β not asked, optional or required.
- After the event β a thank-you message and, optionally, a live survey from Surveys sent automatically.
- Visibility β share with everyone who uses CRM, or keep it private to you and the people you add as editors or viewers.
When it is ready, Publish it and copy the event page link. You can also duplicate, cancel (with a message to everyone registered), archive or delete an event, and create a new link if the old one was shared too widely.
Tickets (Tickets tab)
Add as many ticket types as you need, free or paid. Each has a price, an optional number available and an optional sale window β for example an Early bird ticket that stops selling on a date. Paid tickets are not charged on the event page: mark them paid, or create an invoice for the attendee or their company from the attendee's record (needs Accounting).
Agenda & speakers
Build the programme with times, rooms and tracks, and add speakers with a photo, title, company and short bio. Link each agenda item to its speakers. The agenda and speakers appear on the event page.
Registration form
Ask attendees your own questions β short answer, paragraph, pick one, pick several or yes/no β and mark them required. Answers appear on each attendee, in the CSV export and as charts on the Results tab.
The event page
People register on the public page with their name, email and any questions you ask. They receive a confirmation email with a QR ticket and a calendar file, then reminders. The link in every email opens their own ticket, where they can see their QR code, join online, add the event to their calendar or (if allowed) cancel.
Attendees
Filter by status (confirmed, awaiting approval, waitlist, cancelled, declined), attendance, ticket and payment, and search by name, email or company. Open anyone to confirm, decline, move them off the waitlist, change their ticket, mark them paid or refunded, link them to a CRM company, resend their ticket, create an invoice or add a note.
- Add person β register someone yourself, even over capacity.
- Import β up to 1,000 people at a time from a CSV file.
- Export β download everyone with their answers as a CSV.
Check-in
On the day, open the Check-in tab on a phone, tablet or laptop:
- Scan with camera β point the camera at a QR ticket (Chrome, Edge and Android browsers).
- Barcode scanner β a USB or Bluetooth scanner types the code into the box and presses Enter.
- Type the code, or find people by name or email if they have no ticket with them.
Each check-in shows clearly whether the person is in, was already checked in, or is not confirmed, and warns you when a ticket is unpaid. Print badges opens printable name badges with QR codes, six or eight to an A4 sheet or one per page.
Messages
Email everyone confirmed, the people who came, the no-shows, the waitlist, those awaiting approval or everyone registered. Start from a ready-made message for joining details, a change of plan, a thank you or "sorry we missed you". Each person gets their own email with your branding. Confirmations and reminders go out by themselves.
After the event
About an hour after the end, the event is marked completed. If anyone was checked in, confirmed people who were not are marked as no-shows. Anyone still on the waitlist is released, and the thank-you and survey are sent if set.
Results
See registrations over time, places left, the waitlist, who came, no-shows, revenue and unpaid tickets, sales by ticket type, how people registered, arrivals at the door and a chart for each question. Click any figure or bar to open the attendees behind it.
On the customer record
Registrations appear in Events on the CRM contact page and on the company's Customer 360 tab, showing each event and whether the person came. Click one to open the registration.
Calendar and automations
Events appear on the shared team Calendar. Three automation triggers are available: Event Registration Received, Event Registration Changed and Attendee Checked In β for example to create a follow-up task when a VIP registers.
Security
Event pages and sign-ups are rate-limited and protected against automated sign-ups. Each attendee's link only opens their own registration. Private events are only visible to their owner, the people added to them and admins. Attendee names, emails and phone numbers are stored encrypted.
