Discover Companies (Leads Hub)
Search UK companies and local businesses, read the fit and intent scores, and save the best matches to your accounts.
Discover searches for companies and scores each one against a profile. Go to CRM β Leads Hub β Discover. Searching is free.
1. Choose what to search for
Pick a profile to use its settings, or search without one. You can then add or change any filter:
- Keyword: words in the company name or website.
- Town or area and Postcode areas (e.g.
M, SK, WA). - SIC: industry codes.
- Size and Company type.
- Business categories: types of local business from map listings, e.g. dentist, accountant, garage.
- Exclude names containing.
- Incorporated: only companies formed in the last 30, 90 or 365 days.
- Accounts overdue: companies late with their accounts, which can be a sign of a business that needs help.
- Has a website.
- Show businesses already in my CRM: off by default, so you only see new prospects.
- Minimum fit: hide anything scoring below this.
2. Where results come from
Discover combines several sources. The source is shown against each result:
- Company register: the UK company register, always included.
- Map listings: local businesses from OpenStreetMap, including many that aren't limited companies.
- Companies House live: up-to-the-minute company details where available.
- Google results: extra web results where your workspace has this source switched on.
See Data Sources and Your Own Keys.
3. Read the results
Each result shows:
- Fit: 0β100, how closely the company matches the profile. Click it to see the reasons, e.g. "+20 industry match, +15 in your area".
- Intent: how likely they are to be buying now, based on signals like a new director or newly incorporated.
- Signals: the events behind the intent score.
- A badge showing whether the company is New, Already saved, Already in CRM or Do not contact.
- A Sole trader warning where the business is likely a sole trader or partnership. Under UK law (PECR) you need consent before emailing those; call or write instead. See Do-Not-Contact and UK PECR.
4. Save the ones you want
- Tick companies and click Save selected, or
- Click Save all new β₯ fit to save every new result at or above your minimum fit.
Saved companies go to Accounts with the status New. Companies on your do-not-contact list can't be saved.
5. Save the search as a monitor
Click the bookmark button to save the search as a monitor. It then runs on a schedule and adds new matches for you. See Monitors.
