Holiday and the exit interview
How the leaver's holiday balance is worked out, what the leaver sees, and how exit interview answers are kept private.
Holiday to the leaving date
The leaver's page shows:
- Yearly entitlement β their holiday for the year
- Earned this year β the share of that entitlement up to the leaving date, counted from 1 January, or from their start date if they joined this year
- Taken or booked β holiday taken or booked this year
- Left to pay out or Taken in advance β the difference
HR chooses the settlement: pay out unused days, recover days taken in advance, or nothing to settle. The figures are worked out again if the dates change. Pass them to whoever runs final pay.
What the leaver sees
Under HCM β Offboarding, the leaver sees their own checklist, their key dates, their holiday balance and the exit interview. They do not see HR's notes, the rehire decision or whether the loss is regretted.
The exit interview
The leaver answers your questions (set in Settings β Exit questions), gives an overall rating from 1 to 5, says whether they would recommend working here, and picks their main reason for leaving.
- HR sees every answer.
- The manager sees the answers only if the leaver chooses to share them.
- Once submitted, the answers cannot be changed.
Turnover summary
The Turnover tab summarises the answers β the average rating, how many would recommend working here, and the most common reasons. The summary only appears once there are at least three answers in the period, so no single person stands out.
