Performance Reviews

Run structured evaluations with ratings, goals and feedback.

How reviews work

Run structured evaluations against each employee β€” ratings, goals and feedback in one place. Review outcomes feed skills and succession planning, so strong performers and development needs surface where they matter rather than living in a manager's notebook.

Creating a review

  1. Go to HCM β†’ Performance and click New Review.
  2. Pick the employee and the review period.
  3. Set the reviewer.
  4. Save as Draft while you prepare.

Running it

Move the review to In progress when the conversation happens. Record ratings, agreed goals and written feedback as you go. Mark it Completed once both sides have signed off on the content.

Where the outcome goes

Completed reviews inform:

  • HCM β†’ Skills Matrix β€” capability gaps identified during the review.
  • HCM β†’ Succession Planning β€” who is ready for the next role.

Keeping a cycle

Use the status filter to see how many reviews are still draft or in progress in the current cycle. A cycle that never reaches "completed" produces no data for succession planning.

Tip: Write goals so that completion is observable. "Improve communication" cannot be assessed at the next review; "run the weekly client update call unaided" can.
