Equality details
How people give their gender, ethnic group and disability status privately, how HR can ask for them or record them, and who can see them.
Pay gaps by gender, ethnicity or disability need people to say which group they are in. Each person does this under Pay equity → My details.
For everyone
- Every question is optional and has a Prefer not to say choice.
- Answers are encrypted and only you can see them — not HR, not your manager.
- They are used only in group figures, and a group is never shown unless it is big enough that nobody can be picked out.
- Change your answers at any time, or click Remove my details.
For HR
- Turn collection on or off in Settings.
- Ask people on the Overview notifies everyone who has not answered yet.
- Record details someone gave HR (Settings) is for answers given to you, e.g. on a paper form. You will not see anything already recorded, and you cannot replace answers a person gave themselves. The person sees what you recorded and can change it.
Equality details are left out of audit logs and data exports.
